As the Simsbury Chamber Music Festival enters its sixth season, we invite you to attend our four-concert series held Tuesday evenings. The line-up for the Festival’s 2008 season is as follows:
The Festival’s four-concert series will be held on Tuesday evenings in May at Simsbury’s Eno Memorial Hall, located at 754 Hopmeadow St. (Route 10/202). Doors will open at 7pm and concerts will begin at 7:30pm. These performances will feature talented, passionate musicians and a wide array of instruments ranging from traditional strings - viola, cello, and guitar - to a more exotic Chilean folk instrument called the charango. Please join us weekly, after each performance, for our wildly popular "Meet & Greet the Artists". Complimentary hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar at a local restaurant (to be announced) make a perfect evening. The Simsbury Chamber Music Festival was co-founded in 2002 by Simsbury residents Rich Correia and Ted Vogt, and musicians Scott Hill and Carlos Boltes, as a not for profit, all volunteer, community-based organization, dedicated to bringing artistic and musical experiences directly to the residents of the Farmington Valley. Of the event, co-founder Rich Correia says “The Simsbury Chamber Music Festival will bring audiences to Simsbury to enjoy springtime weather, music, and food…ultimately promoting Simsbury as a cultural destination and drawing patrons to downtown businesses and restaurants.” The 2008 Simsbury Chamber Music Festival promises to surpass
the previous seasons! Remember to mark the concert dates on your calendar
and bring friends and family to enjoy a new springtime tradition - The
Simsbury Chamber Music Festival! |
